UPCOMING EVENTS:

Officer Meeting Monday, November 29th @ 6:30 p.m.

BUT WAIT - THERE IS MORE!

NOVEMBER IS ALSO GIVING MONTH

1.  Elks Christmas Giving Project:

Donate specified clothing items and gifts for a needy child.  And/or purchase specified food items for family meal baskets.  We will be serving over 42 families this year so everyone's help is appreciated.  All donation tickets are now available at Lodge and all donations due at the Lodge by November 29th. Come by or call the Office to select yours.

2.  Adopt A Veteran:

We have adopted the veterans living in Lincoln Building in Yountville Veterans Home.    If you adopted a vet for Christmas, all gift cards are due at the Lodge by December 13th. Place them in the Christmas Card provided with a quick note, put the name of the vet on the envelope and place the card in the box in the Lounge.  They will be delivered to "our guys" in Christmas stockings with other goodies on December 15th.

3.  Cookies for Veterans:

We are once again supplying home baked cookies to "our guys" at Yountville.  Please make or purchase a dozen or more cookies and drop them off at the Lodge on December 12th or 13th.  Packing day will be December 14th.  Contact Veterans chair Art Sanchez to help! They will be delivered to Yountville on December 15th.

4.  Wreaths Across America:

Roseville Cemetery District is again participating in the Wreaths Across America Program that places lovely wreaths on veterans gravesites over the holiday season.  Wreath sponsorships are now being accepted.  Each wreath is $15, which must be paid in advance.  The Cemetery hopes to fund 2344 Wreaths this year, up from the 179 last year.  The amount of wreaths it can place is wholly dependent on funding.  There are two ways to donate:  online at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org or pick up a donation sheet at the Lodge and send in a check to the address listed on the form.  ALL DONATIONS ARE FULLY TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  iMPORTANT: If YOU DONATE ONLINE, be sure to list Group Id: CARVCD and Location Number: 166620 so your donation can be attributed to Roseville.  All donations must be made by November 25th.  Placement of the wreaths will start at noon on December 18th.
